Weekly Photo Challenge: Down

Down, down, down… I once went to this old public housing in Hong Kong that was renovated into a creative art center. So happened they had an art fair that day, I climbed to the top floor and looked down to the atrium and saw this photo. If I had a better camera with a wider angle lens, this could be a better photo. Time to invest or just be content with this snapper? Any advice?

Weekly Photo Challenge: Regret

I regret not being more humorous, just take things less serious at times.

I regret not getting this T-shirt, just got this photo to share a smile with you.

I wonder if I put this up in my counseling room, will my clients regret coming to see me?

This photo was taken at a rural diner/ coffee shop somewhere in North America. On a more serious note, I read about this person by the name of William Borden who died with NO REGRETS at the age of 25.

2012-2 Newsletter

Another year, another format for the newsletter! I am working on using a better way to get this across to my prayer partners by trying a free email marking system call Mailchimp. As you know it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks, but this old dog is willing to give it a try. If anyone out there knows anything about it, I appreciate a pointer or two.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Ready

I waited for this week’s weekly photo challenge since there seems to be a bit of confusion in regards to the theme. So, Ready it is… There was a fire at Fa Yuen Street few months back in Hong Kong destroying a big portion of the street vendors‘ merchandises there. It was a big lost, but Hong Kong people bounces back fast. This photo was taken after they cleaned up the street and getting ready to put in new stalls. Ready for business as usual soon.

Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. - the Bible (Psalm 62:5) When I got this week’s challenge, I was a little shock since I posted a photo that can apply to this week’s theme. My first thought was posting it again, but as I looked up from my desk… inspiration came and I snapped this shot which depicts where hope lies and how to see it— with our eyes closed!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Simple

We know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. -Romans 5:3-5

A simple four- letter word painted on the ground of a Christian campsite inspired me to think of a not so simple message. If everyone have hope, there will be no depression. It is a simple truth, but not so simple to those that are in a dark pit.

Once in a while, I will go to a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of a metropolitan city to be peaceful. There at a tranquil garden, I saw a whole roll of turtles lying peacefully taking an afternoon nap. I took a bunch of photos of them, but decided on this threesome.

It took me awhile to come up with a photo for launch since it depicts action, movement, and starting of something. This is a newly built sculpture by the sea-walk as part of the city development to welcome the new cruise terminal in Hong Kong. The steam launch out of the light box which is as tall as me!
