It has been said that in a group, a community, or a church for that matter- 20% of the people are doing all the work while 80% are spectators. There are many reasons why we prefered standing on the sideline, getting involve takes risk, time, and resource. We enjoyed watching people play but nothing compares to actually playing on the field even if it is only for a moment. You never know, maybe the game is won due to your involvement for that moment.
The Great Commission is not a game, but a battle and we need more willing and able brave soldiers on our side! Please get involve by praying, giving, doing, going or coming to the field.
My devotional this year is Oswald Chamber’s “My Utmost for His Highest”. From my quiet times reading this book and the Bible I realized that prayer is where I can best serve our Lord now.
