Indulge means getting something a person does not need but wanted. It can be very subjective and individualistic; one man’s indulgence can be another man’s necessity. I have photos of ice cream, chocolate, and cheese cake but I have chosen this photo to show how I indulged my dad on his birthday. No, this is not a Chinese cake but abalone served on top of rice noodles. If I have to indulge my mom, it will be bird’s nest soup!
